Rant: This fucking movie is strange as shit. Lucio Fulci directed Zombie, City of the Living Dead, The Beyond and plenty of other wacky, violent movies. A Cat in the Brain, also known as Nightmare Concert is mainly one ridiculous storyline mixed with gory ass clips of Fulci's previous films. There's a reason they call him the Italian Godfather of Gore.
As well as directing, he also stars in this movie and plays himself. He's been going nuts with all the horror movies he's made and the disgusting stuff is starting to bleed into his everyday life. Eventually he goes to a psychiatrist, Professor Swharz, and gets hypnotized. While under hypnosis the psychiatrist tells Fulci his master plan. Swharz will go around butchering people and Fulci will believe it's himself. Fucking weird ass story.
This movie is decent. The gore is fantastic as you'd expect but the story is about as strange as you can get and the performances are borderline fucking silly. It kind of feels like a mess but I think there's enough gore and charm in there to entertain any slasher fan. Don't eat spaghetti and watch this awful horror movie.
Terrible Lines: "There was this nazi shooting an orgy."
